Soothing Massages For Our Expecting Or Post Natal Mothers

We are so happy to be able to offer Remedial and Sports massage to our expecting or post natal mothers because we know how hard pregnancy can be on the body and how important pain relief and relaxation is for mum and bub.

We have highly rated pregnancy massage tables that have a comfortable hole in the middle so our pregnant ladies can lay face down and enjoy an amazing remedial massage to help feel their best and reduce any pregnancy tightness or pain. Happy mummy, happy baby.

Our Approach

When our clients lay face down for the first time in their pregnancy massage the very common response we hear is how happy they feel already to be lying comfortably on their tummies.

In this position our Jackie’s Sports Massage therapists are able to apply medium to firm pressure if requested which then helps any tight muscles to release.

Most Frequently Asked Questions

Pregnancy massage, or prenatal massage, is a specialised massage therapy tailored to meet the unique needs of expecting mothers. It aims to relieve the physical discomfort and emotional stress that often accompany pregnancy. The techniques used are designed to promote relaxation, alleviate muscle tension, improve circulation, and support overall well-being during this special time.

YES pregnancy massage is considered safe when performed by a certified and experienced therapist like ours. It’s crucial to consult with your healthcare provider before scheduling a prenatal massage, especially if you have any high-risk pregnancy concerns or other health conditions. Your therapist should be informed about your pregnancy and any related conditions to ensure a safe and beneficial session. Please read on for more information regarding signing a waiver in the first trimester in:

“What Stage of Pregnancy can I have a massage?”

Pregnancy massage offers several benefits, including relief from back pain, neck and shoulder discomfort, leg cramps, and swelling often experienced during pregnancy. It also helps to reduce stress, promote relaxation, improve sleep quality, and enhance the overall mood. Additionally, the nurturing touch of a prenatal massage can provide emotional support during this transitional period.

It’s safe to have a pregnancy massage in any trimester. Due to insurance reasons we do request a waiver to be signed if having a massage in the first trimester even though it is deemed safe in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy as this is typically where most women may miscarry which is not massage related. It’s always advisable to consult with your healthcare provider and a qualified prenatal massage therapist to determine the most appropriate timing for you. Please feel free to contact Jackie directly of you have any questions regarding your pregnancy massage. Call the clinic and they will give you her direct mobile number to contact.

During our pregnancy massage session, our therapist will use our specialised pregnancy table with a hole in the middle for your belly to lay comfortably face down. The session usually starts with a consultation to understand your specific needs and any concerns you might have. The massage itself will be gentle to firm if requested and focus on alleviating pregnancy-related discomforts while promoting a sense of relaxation and well-being.

Booking a pregnancy massage appointment can be done online via the Book Now button, (top right of the website) or over the phone.
